The 2022 AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting will serve as the backdrop to the introduction of this year’s class of Hall of Distinction inductees. AAO-HNSF President Ken Yanagisawa, MD, will introduce the Hall of Distinction inductees in the Pioneer category; Al Merati, MD, AAO-HNSF Past President, will introduce the Hall of Distinction inductees in the Living Legends category. According to Dr. Merati, this year’s distinguished list puts a well-deserved spotlight on the work of so many in otolaryngology. Dr,. Merati headshotAl Merati, MD

“Recognition is a powerful force in our lives. Our AAO-HNS Hall of Distinction inductees this year were nominated for the impact they have made across all of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery,” Dr. Merati said. “These leaders brought positive change for our patients, our operating rooms, our conferences, and perhaps most importantly in how we see, teach, and communicate with each other. The Awards Committee is focused on this recognition but also on the ability of each of these otolaryngologists to inspire and elevate those around them. This year’s inductees are a remarkable group of people.”

The 2022 Hall of Distinction Pioneer inductees include:

Bobby R. Alford, MD
